PATH is a global nonprofit working to improve health worldwide. In Nigeria, PATH has been involved in several initiatives to strengthen the healthcare system.
One key program, PATHS 1, focused on improving health policy, public health services, and awareness about citizens’ rights to quality care. This was followed by PATHS 2, which worked on improving primary healthcare delivery, especially in states like Enugu, Kaduna, and Lagos.
Recently, PATH has contributed to Nigeria’s digital health ecosystem through the CDC TAP project, enhancing electronic medical records and health information systems. They also work on the Rotary Healthy Communities Challenge, providing better healthcare services for malaria and other diseases in collaboration with local authorities.
